Fuego HV Ultra - reviews

I bought a Fuego in July from Galaxy Kayaks. It was my first kayak and I didn’t know what to expect. Well, wow. I actually wondered if it was a scam at first, getting a kayak on sale for the price I did and free shipping. When it arrived, it was well packaged in protective cardboard, bubble wrap and vinyl so there wasn’t a scratch. I was impressed with how sturdy and well made it is. I’ve had it out on the sea coast a few times now, once in choppy waves, and it handled beautifully. It’s stable and feels substantial but glides effortlessly. Even my 12yo handled it pretty easily in shallow, calm water. The paddles are plastic but fairly firm and they can be offset in three different settings. The seat is cushy, removable and fully adjustable and there’s loads of space on the front and back for camping gear, swimming gear, etc. There’s even a cup holder for a mug of tea. I’m besotted with it and it’s my new favourite hobby. The only drawback is that due to its stability, it’s a little heavier than I can manage on my own, so keep that in mind. But with another person it’s been easy to lift on and off the roof rack. I’ll be recommending Galaxy to my friends!

Spent quite a bit of time trying to find a suitable kayak for a complete beginner between Galaxy and a couple of other companies. Went for the Fuego HV after some great comms with Galaxy and it was delivered within 5 days - couldn't recommended them highly enough! Kayak heading inside soon for the winter so cant wait till spring! Thanks Galaxy!

Had a couple of questions and got quick and helpful support from Galaxy when considering my purchase.. Delivery was very quick and the kayak is brilliant. Highly recommend and I’m sure I’ll be buying again in the near future.

As a 'larger' (119kg) and completely inexperienced kayaker (I have now been out 4 times...) I could not recommend Galaxy Kayaks enough. Free delivery is also (IMHO) absolutely amazing and took (for me) 5 days which is really, really good! I love my new kayak and as an older user this is my new hobby (along with cycling) to keep me going for many years to go - many thanks Galaxy!

After doing quite a bit of research I was beginning to become dismayed at the prospect of getting a kayak delivered to northern ireland. However having found Galaxy I was delighted with the delivery speed and cost. Not just that but I must say I'm absolutely delighted with the kayak, which is of great quality and travels beautifully. Well done Galaxy Kayaks!
